Ethical Compliance
Authors must ensure that all research has been conducted in accordance with applicable institutional, national, and international ethical standards. Studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with recognized ethical guidelines and applicable regulations.
Human Subjects Research
Research involving human participants must:
- Receive prior approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB), Ethics Committee, or equivalent authority.
- Be conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and applicable ethical regulations.
- Include a statement confirming ethical approval within the manuscript.
- Confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants where required.
Animal Research
Studies involving animals must comply with internationally accepted guidelines for the ethical care and use of laboratory animals. Authors should clearly describe the ethical approval obtained and the measures taken to minimize animal suffering.
Informed Consent
Authors must obtain informed consent from all participants involved in the research. For manuscripts containing identifiable patient information, photographs, or clinical details, explicit written consent for publication must also be obtained.
Research Integrity
Authors are expected to report their findings honestly, accurately, and transparently. The journal does not tolerate:
- Plagiarism
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Image manipulation
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Citation manipulation
- Authorship misconduct
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
- Any other form of research misconduct
Any allegation of unethical conduct will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidance and the journal's editorial policies.
Editorial Responsibility
Editors and reviewers are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, objectivity, and fairness throughout the editorial process. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, ethical compliance, and the overall quality of the submitted work.
Right to Reject
ACE Journal of Neurosciences reserves the right to reject any manuscript at any stage of the editorial or peer-review process if there is evidence or reasonable suspicion of unethical conduct, including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, unethical research practices, lack of required ethical approval, failure to obtain informed consent, authorship disputes, or any violation of internationally accepted research ethics.
Where necessary, the journal may request supporting documentation, contact the authors' institutions, issue corrections or retractions, or take other appropriate actions in accordance with COPE recommendations.
